"If this were to happen again we would not hesitate to go with Cousino Harris Disaster Kleenup."

We had extensive flooding throughout our building because of heavy rains. Cousino Harris was on the scene within 45 minutes of being called. We found them to be excellent communicators at all times letting us know what they are doing, when they are doing it, and how it would affect us. They never cut corners, when they did something it was done to completion and our building is a better place today than it was probably before the flooding. If this were to happen again we would not hesitate to go with Cousino Harris Disaster Kleenup.

Community Involvement
Cousino Harris Disaster Kleenup prides itself on being involved with the various local communities in which they serve.

Here are some of the organizations Cousino Harris Disaster Kleenup works with.

Extreme Makeover: Home Edition
Cousino Harris Disaster Kleenup is a proud participant in the popular ABC Series, Extreme Makeover: Home Edition, surprising the Rhodes Family of Columbus, Ohio with the home of their dreams. The tight-knit, hard-working, loving, joyous Rhodes family has lived in their neighborhood for over 5 generations – and they have always put family first. Their bond is unbreakable -- so when Grandpa James and Grandma Jackie’s adult daughter Makia was diagnosed with a potentially deadly brain tumor making her unable to work and needing daily care, they did not hesitate to take Makia and her kids into their 941 square foot home.
Play it Forward Toy Drive
We teamed up with host Levis Commons in the annual "Play it Forward" used toy drive where toys are collected the second weekend in January. We bring the toys back to our facility where they are cleaned, sanitized and get new batteries. Every year we pick a different charity to support. For more information please download the press release.
Lake Kids Relief Fund
This fund was established a few days after the devastating 2010 tornado. Some of the funds were used to take the kids on a shopping trip to help "kids feel like kids again and not storm victims who are without possessions." Cousino held a charity golf outing to raise proceeds for the fund.
box_hannahssocks Hannah's Socks
Hannah’s Socks is a non-profit that gives new socks for the homeless and domestic violence shelters in Toledo and Cincinnati. Cousino Harris' 2009 Charity Golf Outing proceeds went to Hannah’s Socks and our employees help pass out socks to the homeless.
Honor Flight Northwest Ohio
Honor Flight Northwest Ohio was formed in 2007 to send NW Ohio to Washington DC to see memorials built to honor their service. Cousino has collected donations at their open houses, various trade shows and recently sent a guardian on the May flight.
box_victorycenter The Victory Center
For 16 years The Victory Center has been reaching out to cancer patients and their families… providing love, support, compassion, hope and laughter. This year Cousino Harris will help organize a fundraiser in June.
Toledo Northwestern Ohio Food Bank
Over the past 26 years, the Toledo Northwestern Ohio Food Bank has distributed over 76 million pounds of food and grocery products to our member agencies. Currently, the Food Bank serves over 300 non-profit agencies.
Aurora House
Aurora House is a comprehensive housing and life skills program for homeless women and their children to achieve self sufficiency and independence. The Aurora House is a supportive and safe environment. Cousino Harris has supported this cause through many events and fundraisers over the years.
box_opbreadbasket Operation Bread Basket
Volunteers from the Perrysburg Township Fire Department work year-round collecting clothing, toys, hygiene essentials and food assistance to families in their community for Operation Bread Basket. Cousino cleans the clothing for this event.
Family House
As a non-profit agency dedicated to keeping families together in time of crisis, Family House has offered hope to families since 1985. Annually, the emergency family shelter provides shelter, meals, and services to approximately 800 individuals, 70% of whom are children. Cousino donates food, clothing and toys on a fairly regular basis.
Annual Used Coat Drive
Cousino collects gently used coats each fall at all five of our branch locations. We clean them and they are delivered to various charities, including The Cherry Street Mission, The Beach House, The Aurora House, The Family House and more. In two years we've cleaned and delivered nearly 2000 coats.
